The Eyes Have It
So...I was going through some of my pictures, and it has come to my attention that Guy Gardner has awfully pretty eyes. Hal has pretty eyes too, but only when he's not wearing a mask. Otherwise...Hooboy, look out!

But that's not why I'm here. While Guy may indeed have a rubber face, and can give even Ralph Dibny a run for his money occasionally, when he forgets to screw his face up, he's actually not bad looking. For example...

Awwwww...of course Tora has pretty eyes too.
Of course sometimes Guy's eyes weren't quite so pretty.
Way to go, Hal!
But seriously, how could you possibly resist that look? I know that Kilowog can't. Or even this one...
Man, he's got Hal just wrapped around his little finger.
Just remember. Guy Gardner is watching you.

So true. So, so true. Though I wish they would get the color right in GLC now. Blue! Blue blue blue!
And pre-brain damage teacher!Guy on the bus there is crushing on Hal SO HARD. Sometimes I look back at panels like that (Guy has lots of them) and I wonder if the writers did that sort of thing intentionally or not. It's like he either has this adorable man-crush, or else he was just so sad and lonely that his best and only friend was a guy who lived all the way across the country from him (and who wasn't even being completely honest with him). Either way, it's kind of sad, especially since we all know what comes right after those panels.
Oh, heck -- back then the GLs all seemed to crush on each other SO BADLY. John and Hal were the worst -- when they weren't beating the crap out of each other, they were all, "I love you, man!"
Guy's eyes ARE blue. I can only assume that they may glow a little green when he's using the ring. Or something.
But yes, Guy IS mooning away there on the bus, isn't he? Which is STILL preferable to moping around after Kari Limbo.
*shudder*
Yeah, Hal and John did have a tendancy to get slobbery occasionally. And then they'd go and do their BFF act RIGHT in front of Guy.
Hal is SUCH a bitch sometimes.
And then Hal goes and takes Kyle up in his love-plane. I bet he never let John and Guy fly with him.
Admittedly, I suspect they would have been less impressed by the experience than Kyle was.
Now THAT would be a funny story. Guy and John's reaction to Hal's "You've never flown with me" schtick.
