Avengers Anyone?

Yes, yes, I am probably risking my nerd cred, but I haven't been to see the new Avengers movie yet.  I probably will go.  Heck I haven't even seen the Captain America movie yet.  I HAVE seen the Thor movie, and it was a dandy.

However, I have it on good authority, that Chris Helmsworth doesn't take his shirt off in the Avengers movie...and well...I'm not sure if it is going to be worth my while then.  On the other hand, I do love Tom Hiddleston as Loki, so perhaps it would be worth it after all.

Has anyone been to see it and how many times so far?

I haven't seen it yet either. The plan is to hit a matinee tomorrow afternoon. If I can get away from work early enough...

Matinees are my favorites.

So long as it beats the box office take of Transformers 3, I'll be happy ;-)

I saw it opening night. It certainly is rousing and action-packed. However, it is...very Marvel. Because unlike DC heroes, Marvel heroes can't get their act together until someone they PERSONALLY know has been effected (in this case, killed).

Loved it!

Saw it last week (seems to have opened earlier here in the UK) and really enjoyed it: nice character pieces, some cliches set up and then deftly subverted, and a nice mid-credits teaser for the next Avengers threat.

And this from a die-hard DC man.

As a Bat-fan it's hard to say this, but it's the best comic book movie ever. Better than that, it's simply a stellar action movie.

You have to get on Captain America though - you have to see that first, otherwise the maguffin doesn't make sense. Also, Chris Evans is just delightful and makes you want to date him with all his politeness.

I didn't actually like Thor, but I just rewatched it after Avengers because Whedon's take won me over. Tom Hiddleston is fantastic, like a Bowie song from the 70s only with a better hat.

I understand that you have to stay right through ALL of the credits, because there is...naturally...an extra scene. This is never a problem for me, since I always stay through the entire list of credits.

I have to see who the Best Boy is.

The tease is actually mid-credits, not right at the end like some of the earlier films.

I have to see who the Best Boy is.

Surely for you that's Guy Gardner? :)

Tease is mid credit. Payoff is at end credits. Stay!!!

I have to wait until this Saturday--reckoned I'd be a bad dad if I went without my kids. "Sorry, son; but I didn't want any spoilers."

It is well worth it. LOVED IT! All actors shined and it was plain fun. And see Captain America cause I thought was even better then the Avengers...it was great! Plus the ending will make you cry even though you knwo what will happen to Cap.

No if DC had made a GL movie at this level!

What? there's an end credit scene. damn. didn't stay that long.

"Chris Helmsworth doesn't take his shirt off in the Avengers movie...and well...I'm not sure if it is going to be worth my while then" I empathise with you! He shoulda taken his shirt off. But it's still worth seeing, and he's still damn hot.
